Ronaldo confident of Madrid victory
Cristiano Ronaldo is confident that Real Madrid, with the help of their fans, will progress to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. Madrid have fallen at the last-16 stage of the Champions League in each of the last five seasons and they will need to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit to avoid a repeat this year. Manuel Pellegrini`s side played poorly at the Stade Gerland, but they have been in fine form domestically and Saturday’s thrilling last-gasp 3-2 win over Sevilla saw them replace Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table.
